Tampere Art Museum occasionally accepts loan requests for small numbers of artworks from the Moomin Museum collection to museum exhibitions abroad.
We are not accepting loan requests for Moomin illustrations until 2025. The majority of the collection is resting after being displayed in the museum’s permanent exhibition and the touring exhibition The Art of Moomin in Japan.
Loan requests must be made at least 12 months before the planned exhibition. The loan period is six months at most. Artworks from the collection can only be lent outside of Finland. We only accept loan requests from museums and organisations with trained museum staff, and with exhibition spaces that meet museum standards.
We do not loan the three-dimensional tableaux or the Paraphernalia collection.

Pop up Moomin Museum
You can now hire the Pop up Moomin Museum experience. The Pop up Moomin Museum is based on digigraph prints of Moomin illustrations and is built from different modular elements to suit different types of spaces.
The Pop up Moomin Museum can be hired within Finland and abroad. It is suitable for cultural centres, fairs and other venues that don’t meet museum standards.
