Open guided tours

On weekends we host public tours to help you get more out of your visit. Learn more about the loveable Moomin stories and Tove Jansson’s colourful life by exploring the collection together with our guides.

Guided tours in English: Sunday, 2pm
Guided tours in Finnish: Saturday and Sunday, 2pm

Our public tours are open to everyone, but they are designed mainly for adults. Advance booking is not required, but if you wish to take part, please inform us on arrival at the museum. The 45-minute tour is included in the price of admission. We will restrict the amount of participants if needed.

Guided tours for children are organized during special events.

You can alternatively book a private guided tour of the museum. We offer a variety of fun tours themed around Tove Jansson’s life, the Moomin stories, the endearingly relatable Moomin characters, and the warm wisdom of the Moomin world. Whether you want facts or laughs, you choose the style of your tour: informative, relaxing, or entertaining.
